Tute Bianche: Arrival and March / Clashes in Via Tolemaide

The Tute Bianche march departed from Carlini Stadium along an authorized route, while in Piazza Giusti a group of violent demonstrators carried out acts of vandalism without police intervention.
At the same time, around 300 Carabinieri, deployed to intercept extremist groups, took a wrong route and found themselves in front of the peaceful march. By mistake, they charged the Tute Bianche, causing clashes and confusion, as later confirmed in court proceedings.
Many demonstrators and journalists were beaten. The so-called “relief charges” closed off escape routes, contributing to further violence, fires, and barricades. The extensive use of tear gas caused health problems for both officers and demonstrators.
The footage that follows is presented in chronological sequence.
